320 Diovan

So I was off of the Prozac. And this meant my Dr. could try out another Blood Pressures Medicine on me. He decided on Diovan 320. Now had I been my normal weight every thing should have been fine. But I was not my normal weight I was 60 lbs above that. Yes, I was 260 lbs. In fact when I got the stroke, I could not do anything but get better, so in the three months I had off, I dropped that down to 229 lbs, which was good. During the Prozac phase, this grew up to 259 lbs.

 

Anyway, the Diovan 320, after a week of it, my Blood Pressure went down from the 140/90 to - and I gasp - 119/55, it was miracle, or rather it was a pill, I could not believe it.

 

I told the Dr. : "Wow, all from a pill, what do you know?"

 

This was within Two Weeks.

 

Now after the Two Weeks, I keep taking it. And round about , Four Weeks I started to feel something. And I quote from the package description :

 

Symptoms of fluid and electrolyte problems ; dry mouth.

 

But I figured, dry mouth, I can deal with that as long an my BP is 199/55, I can do this!

 

Around Six Weeks, quoting from the package description :

 

Symptoms of fluid and electrolyte problems : dry mouth, thirst, lack of energy (lethargic) , weakness, drowsiness, restlessness, confusion, seizures, muscle pain or cramps, muscle fatigue, very low urine output, fast heartbeat, or nausea and vomiting.

 

I new something had to be wrong, I was experiencing : dry mouth, lack of energy (lethargic), drowsiness, muscle fatigue, and very low urine output.

 

So at around three mouths of this I went it to see the Dr.

 

"Dr. I can not believe a pill does this to me, I mean the lower BP, but it is messing with my system....."

 

I went on to tell him about the problem I'd been having and wanted to know how I could go from the 320 Diovan dose to twice daily, 160 Diovan dose.

 

It would be the same amount, but at 160 Diovan dose twice daily.

 

My Dr. was amazed I went into the url Diovan page and read up on it.

 

So I was on the 160 Diovan dose, twice a day.

 

And what do you now, all the problems I was having went away in a week. 

 

My sister in law , Tree, said this :

 

"Your Doctor can try what he will. but unless you feed him the knowledge, it will only be a guess."

 

Well know that my stroke is just about gone ( although it shall be with me the rest of my days ) and my aphasia is just about gone (almost), it is as if I am waking from a dream.
